A room divider or a wardrobe wall. Nesting Walls draws inspiration from the shadows of branches, bird nesting and cobwebs in the pitch black forest.
Nesting Walls are a develop for the concept "Pitch Black" The Cabinetmakers´Autumn Exhibition 2016. The theme of the exhibition revolves around the black line on the paper. The shadows cast by the furniture as a result of its sculptural poses and gaps and openings in the construction. Pitch Black - shadows and transparency is the title, witch is contrasted by this year unique location at the Lapidarium of Kings, where the exhibits are surrounded by 384 white sculptures mounted on podiums and pedestals.
The three Nesting Walls are an ongoing experimental one off works. The idea is to develop the Walls towards a more industrial production in the near future.
