The product “Olla” - “in Ollas selskab” is made in cooperation wit the carpenter Mathias J Overvad. @mathiasjovervad
The stools can stable like pancakes and have the round shaped from a pancake.
Product Description:
It’s made in the memory of my mother Olla that passed away 16th December 2020. With the inspiration in her famous dark pancakes made with Nescafé. And all the pancakes party’s during her life time that made small and bigger people come together. All the time she spend on embroidery that took a big part in her life making embroidery for children’s hospitals charity in Iceland. The embroidery and 4 patterns are made by me dögg and the name on them is my mother’s autograph.
I can say it took some time and hours to make and learn how to do embroidery the last 4 months at the same time good help to use that time to think about all the good times and memories we had together. The embroidery is mostly made with leftovers of my mother’s yarn that tells a story of her lifetime in all her colors combination. The tones - heart beads and color tones in circle and squares. The exhibition was shown from start November 2021 until start January 2022 at @sophienholm
